The Chinese national is identified as Lihui Huilu, while the Malawian is identified as Chikondi Nkhata Kumwenda.

The arrest comes as Police and PLAN Malawi through Good Health Organization were making a follow-up  on the case where it is alleged some Chinese nationals were allegedly taking minors to Lilongwe.

According to Harry Namwaza, Public Relations Officer for Central East Region Police, is alleged that, instead of attending to classes in Lilongwe, the six girls were subjected to abuse where they were ordered to be putting on costumes and dancing to Chinese music while the three Chinese men used to capture them on video camera, making fun of them.

Namwaza has since revealed that police are yet to establish the motive behind the filming of the victims.

At the moment, police have instituted investigations to arrest the other two Chinese nationals who are currently on the run.

The two will appear in court soon to answer the charge of trafficking in person.
