Tanzania’s opposition leader Tundu Lissu, who went into self-imposed exile, has said he is not sad about late John Magufuli’s death.

Lissu said he was one of the most persistent victims during Magufuli’s regime while also recalling his alleged 2017 assassination attempt that almost killed him.

Tundu Lissu: “As his most persistent critic and perhaps his most prominent victim, I was and I am, frankly, relieved to see him go”.
