Two weeks after President Lazarus Chakwera launched roll out of AstraZeneca vaccine, over 70, 000 people have received the vaccine.

Malawi’s Minister of Information Gospel Kazako revealed on his official Facebook page.

“As of today, over 70,000 people have received Covid-19 vaccine in Malawi,” Kazako said.

People are still flocking to vaccination centers to get their first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine despite rumors surrounding the vaccine.

Kazako has also revealed that a hundred thousand dose of vaccine is expected to arrive in the country today, March 26, 2021.

‘A hundred thousand doses of AstraZeneca vaccine from the African Union arrive in Malawi today 26th March, 2021 at 4pm through Kamuzu International Airport, Lilongwe,” Kazako added.
