The wait is over as State House has confirmed that President Lazarus Chakwera will release his new cabinet in the next two days.

Presidential Spokesperson Brian Banda confirmed meaning the cabinet might be out by Wednesday.

There have been growing calls from different stakeholders reminding president Chakwera on the need to reshuffle the cabinet.

The calls also grew following the promise he (Chakwera) made when he ascend into power that his first cabinet ill only last for five months as he will assess the performance of the Ministers.

Chakwera clearly said that he will not tolerate non performing Minsters in his government as he will fire them.

Five months down the line, Chakwera failed to honor his words as no assessment report was released from him weighing the performance of his Ministers.

He further said that the country was first dealing with the pandemic hence his failure to come up with the assessment report.

Various governance groups have spoken on the need for a leaner cabinet with people with genuine understanding and expertise to advance the highly billed transformation agenda.
