Mary Chilima, a wife to vice president Saulos Chilima has admitted that Malawi is failing in its drive for gender equality promotion.
Madam Chilima said this today during the African Gender Equality Conference recommendations review in the capital Lilongwe.
Chilima suggests an urgent need for facilitation of gender based violence policies.
Meanwhile, Gender Minister Patricia Kaliati cites financial constraints as choking women and girls empowerment.
