The Senior Resident Court in Mzuzu has convicted a 32 year old Indian National Anand Mandivar for insulting Human Rights Defenders Coalition (HRDC) chairperson for the north Happy Mhango.

Senior Resident Magistrate Godfrey Nyirenda will give out the sentence at 2pm today.

The convict, Mandivar, pleaded guilty to the case, in which he is said to have called Mhango ‘a dog’.

It is reported that the two collided last night at Kentam Mall in Mzuzu where they were trying to seek services from mobile money agent.
