Minibus Driver Netted For Human Trafficking In Chikwawa

Police in Chikwawa on Saturday arrested a minibus driver, Felix Tembo, 32, for allegedly trafficking seven Ethiopian immigrants and 12 Malawians into Mozambique.

The Driver was intercepted at Kamuzu Bridge in Chikwawa following a tip from some well-wishers.

Chikwawa Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), Sergeant, Dickson Matemba confirmed Tembo’s arrest Sunday afternoon.

Tembo was believed to traffic Ethiopians and Malawians who include two women out of Malawi on his minibus registration number MHG 6400, according to the Chikwawa PRO.
