Mulanje –based poet Raphael Sitima has embarked on a journey of a new poetry album in which he has collaborated with a number of musicians.

Sitima said he has already made progress on the project set to have ten poems.

‘’I have featured a musicians in each and every poem in this album, meaning to say that there is background song done by a Malawian musicians whose concept is related to the poem and the musician also appears in the video for the poem,’’ said Sitima.

Meanwhile sitima said the poet has adopted the new strategy of featuring musicians in the poems to give people something new.

Some of the musicians he has worked with in the album include Blaze and Rashley.

However in preparation for the new album, a new poetry video titled ‘kwathu’ is set for release on 30 April 2021.

‘’Kwathu’ in which I have featured Rashley has been produced at Tuff Beats and Agulo Records in Blantyre and Mulanje respectively and directed by V J Ken of Auto Focus Media,’’ he said.

Sitima came into the limelight in 2014 after releasing a poem titled ‘Chala Changa’.

Sitima has three albums to his Credit namely Kalata Kwa Jailosi, Chala Changa and Mfiti za Mfiti.
