A UK-based Charity Malawi Relief Fund has presented a K4m cheque to support over 100 schools and boys who failed the recent released Malawi School Certificate Examination in Kasungu East.

The funds are meant to help the learners sit for the examinations for the second time.

Cathy Mtura a representative of the group says the money is to carter for examinations fees and tuitions for the 100 learners.

This follows a social media initiative launched by parliamentarian for the area, Madalitso  Kazombo aimed at  getting girls back to school to prevent early marriages after failing exams.

At least 59 percent of MSCE candidates for year 2020 failed exam are in Kasungu East.
