Information reaching this publication indicates that Ombudsman Martha Chizuma has been appointed as Director General of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).

Chizuma was among the three people who made it to the final list which was sent to President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera for consideration.

Apart from Chizuma, other people who made it to the finals were private practice lawyer Wellington Kazembe and retired Justice of Appeal Anthony Kamanga.

Chizuma will replace Reyneck Matemba whose contract expired in December last year but he refused to have his contract renewed.

Her appointment is subjected to Parliament approval.
