Minister of Homeland security has ordered that all refugees and asylum seekers living and conducting businesses outside Dzaleka camp be sent back to the camp within 14 days, adding that the last group should be at Dzaleka by April 28.

Richard Chimwendo Banda added that the exercise should be treated as a matter of national concern.

He was speaking at a joint press briefing with the Inspector General of Police George Kainja and senior officials from the Immigration Department & the refugee camp on how the operation will be carried out.

On his part Kainja said, the law enforcement agency will work in collaboration with the Immigration Department to ensure that the exercise is curried out smoothly.

He has warned that the Police will use necessary force if any refugee or asylum seeker resists to relocate to Dzaleka Refugee Camp.
