Two men have died after a Tesla, which is believed to have been operating without anyone in the driver’s seat, crashed into a tree and went blaze.

The incident happened on Saturday night April 17 in Texas when a 2019 Tesla Model S traveling fast and failed to navigate a turn before running off the road.

After the emergency services extinguished the fire, one of the victims was found in the front passenger seat, while the other in the back.

Harris County Precinct 4 Constable said evidence suggests that no one was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident.

Meanwhile, it is not clear if Tesla’s driver-assist ‘Autopilot’ system was being used at the time of the crash.

However, the police are still investigating the case.
