Malawi’s veteran musician who is now based in Kenya, Chrissie Kamthuzi has returned on the music scene with another record titled “My Warrior.”

Speaking in a latest interview, the “Women Of Africa” hit-maker said the song was inspired by a verse in the bible from the book of Exodus.

“One day I was doing my quiet time very early in the morning, reading from Exodus chapter 15 about Miriam’s song of deliverance. This turned into a song I started singing in my heart as I was meditating,” she said adding that the song is one of the songs that has ministered to her and that she believes that it will also bless other people more especially during the times we are living in.

The song came with its video which was shot in Kenya where she now resides. She adds that she’s in the process of preparing her next album.

“I am still preparing for my next album recording. Things have been slow because of the pandemic but the ministry has to move on, in season and out of season.”

Chrissie is known for her hit songs “M’khale Woyamba, Wokondedwa, Women of Africa, Angathe just to mention a few. “Angathe” was nominated for Diaspora song of the year in the KEGMA 2017 Awards in Kenya.
