Police in Phalombe District are keeping in custody 24-year-old Dan Makondetsa for allegedly being found in possession of medical supplies without permit.

Phalombe Police Public Relations Officer Innocent Moses said they received information from well wishers that Makondetsa was keeping some medical supplies.

Police followed up and caught up with the suspect at Phalombe Trading Centre.

When asked to show them a permit for the supplies, Makondetsa failed to do so and was arrested and Police seized the products, which include 10 boxes of Malaria P.F Ag test.

He will appear before court soon to answer a charge of being found in possession of medical supplies without permit.

Makondetsa comes from Matepwe Village, Traditional Authority Kaduya in Phalombe District.
