Karonga district hospital has registered one new covid-19 case after three weeks of break.
Disease and Surveillance Focal Person at the hospital Ellias Phiri said the person comes from Lupembe in the district and has since been admitted in the issolation center at the hospital.
Phiri said the case is an indication that covid-19 is still there and called on the people to continue adhering to covid-19 preventive measures that the government put in place.
He further advised the general public to go for vaccination so that they protect themselves from the pandemic.
The case brings to 537 total number of positive accumulative cases in the district with 13 of them still active and 23 deaths have been registered so far.
