Government has ordered immediate closure of Salima Sugar for 14 days and no one is allowed to move in or out of the Company premises.

The order has come after one of the 40 Indians who came to Salima Sugar, 9 of whom were diagnosed with Covid-19, has died of Covid-19.

Salima district Health Office is currently conducting mass Covid-19 testing to all workers at the sugar factory as directed by the Minister of Health last week.
