Woman Drowns In A River In Dedza

A 73 year –old Woman has drowned in Dedza when she slipped off from a wooden bridge she was crossing.

A woman identified as Naliyeti Chikuni who hails from Magundisa village in Dedza.

Dedza Police Spokesperson Edward Kabango has confirmed of the development .

Kabango said that  Naliyeti left her home during day time to drink locally brewed beer within Magunditsa village where she was staying with her family but did not return until she was found drowned in a stream within the village.

Kabango said postmortem results has shown that she died due  to suffocation.
