The Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) board is set to meet today April 12 to deliberate on an imprecating report by the Office of the Ombudsman.
On Monday, April 10, Ombudsman Martha Chizuma released an investigative report exposing massive recruitment irregularities at the authority.
The report has nullified over 10 top appointments at the institution, including that of former Director-General, Godfrey Itaye.
MACRA board Chairperson, Stanley Khaila, confirmed the board would meet today to discuss how to implement the report’s recommendations.
According to Khaila, today’s meeting will ponder recommendations that have been made by their legal committee which met yesterday.
