Traditional Authority Nyezelera of Phalombe district has on Sunday, May 23 passed away at his home, the Ministry of Local Government has confirmed the development.
According to the communication from the ministry, the chief died after a battle with Hypertension.
T/A Nyezelera was born on 14th May 1970 as Harold Samson and was installed Group Village Headman (GVH) in 1997.
He was elevated to Sub Chief in 2018 during former President Peter Mutharika’s era and then promoted to the T/A status in February last year.
Burial of the remains of T/A Nyezelera is scheduled for Tuesday, May 25 at his Nyezelera Headquarters, Machemba Ward, Phalombe Central Constituency.
He survived with a wife, 13 children, and 13 grandchildren.
