A 26-year-old woman, Mirriam Liwala, has died after being hit by a cruising Minibus in Zomba.
Zomba Police publicist, Patricia Sipiliano has confirmed of the accident in an interview with the press.
According to Sipiliano, the accident happened at Asum Mosque near Songani Trading Centre.
She said the woman was hit by a Toyota Hiace Minibus, driven by George Issa Masiyano and had 12 passengers on board.
“The driver is in police custody and will answer the offence of causing death by reckless driving,” Sipiliano said.
