Information reaching this publication indicates that United Democratic Front (UDF) Vice President Lance Mbewe has resigned from his post and the party.
Mbewe has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press, sayinghe wants to concentrate on business and family.
“Well, for the time being I want to concentrate on business but I remain a politician so naturally, I may resurface in future,” said Mbewe.
Effort to talk to UDF spokesperson on the matter proved futile.
UDF is currently rocked in leadership squabbles as others want Atupele Muluzi out of the party.
