Malawian local entrepreneurs are ready to participate in the first regional trade fair since the arrival of the Covid 19 pandemic.
The development follows an invitation from the Zimbabwean Ambassador to Malawi Nancy Saungweme for local entrepreneurs to participate at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair in July (ZITF).
The invitation letter signed under the Zimbabwean embassy to the National Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME) has acknowledged that the fair will provide the needed platform for business engagements.
The fair is expected to take place in Bulawayo from 20th to 23rd July under the theme “Showcasing the new normal for business and Industry: Realities, Opportunities.”
Meanwhile, NASME Coordinator William Mwale has confirmed the development while saying that a reasonable number of local SMEs will participate at the fair.
Meanwhile, the Malawi Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MCCCI) is still monitoring the Covid situation before coming up with a decision to hold this year’s Malawi International Trade Fair.
