Concerned over increased murder and defilement cases in some parts of the country, an activist suggests introduction of psychotherapy programmes in communities to help enhance behavior change.
A mental health Activist, Mwiza Mphande has disclosed this today .
Mphande said that punishing people involved in evil acts by sending them to prison cannot change their behavior but rather deal with mental problems.
Mphande also cited that mental health is a serious challenge in Malawi hence the need for government to allocate enough resources for sensitization especially in urban settings.
