Zambia’s ex police officer has been arrested this morning after staging a one man protest against the country’s Police Ispector General.
The former police officer, Jeyson Musonda Chipepo said he was protesting against what he described “the intimidation of citizens and the abuse of the police service” by the Inspector General of Police Kakoma Kanganja.
Mr. Chipepo took to the streets of Lusaka to register his displeasure in the conduct of the IG who he says is acting as though he is the real Patriotic Front Secretary-General and has allowed the police service to be used by politicians.
The former police man was shortly afterwards picked up by police officers and ferried Kabwata Police station.
On the 16th of June, 2020 Mr Chipepo resigned from the Police Service citing the poor leadership in the country and his strong disagreement with the politics without principle that he describes have perpetuated the country.
