A 35-year-old woman died after she was attacked with an axe by her 22-year-old brother at their residence in Majidgarh village in Nazirabad area in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal on Thursday.
According to the police, the deceased woman was identified as Kedar Ahirwar, a mother of two children. Her husband Ramesh’s brother, identified as Sunil, often troubled her and took objection whenever he saw her talking over the phone.
On Thursday evening, Sunil again accused Kedar of “always talking over the phone” and picked up an argument with her over the issue. During the course of the argument, he brutally hit her with an axe multiple times and she fell unconscious. She was dashed to a hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries during treatment, according to a report by The Times of India.
The now-deceased woman had suffered serious injuries on her face, head, back and chest. The police, after receiving information, registered a case against Sunil and took him into custody on Friday.
