The National Initiative for Civic Education (NICE) Trust has established what it calls “Early Warning, Early Intervention System” where it is using an ICT platform to track incidences for intervention within the context of covid-19 and gender-based violence (GBV).
The Trust’s Executive Director, Ollen Mwalubunju has confirmed the development.
Mwalubunju said they will be using their volunteers across the country to report cases of COVID19 vaccine and preventive measures adherence, and GBV for rapid response.
NICE Trust used the same system to track cases of violence and other issues during the 2021 Fresh Presidential Election.
