Police in Ntcheu, have arrested 15 people for breaking Covid-19 Rules and Regulations.
The suspects were arrested within Mphate Trading Centre, during the early hours of June 09, 2021 for being found loitering outside the permitted hours.
Others were drinking beer beyond the permitted hours, thereby contravening section 20 (2) (b) of the Public Health (Corona Virus Prevention, Containment and Management) Regulation.
The suspects appeared in court today, Wednesday, June 09, to answer the applicable charges.
Meanwhile, Police in the district are advising people to adhere to the Covid-19 preventive measures, as the rules governing the pandemic are still in place for men and women in uniform to enforce.
