The founder and captain for Tigers puff cricket team, Tofik Limbada has said the club will be crowned champions for Intercricket League (ICL).
Speaking in an interview, captain Limbada said the club will be crowned champions this year because they have formed a strong team this season.
“As a team, we are very confident to win because in 2019 we reached finals in the tournament that was sponsored by first Capital Bank after being booted out by Mpingwi Sports Club (MSC) orange which I used to play before forming my own team,” he said,
Limbada further said last year, the team reached semi- finals twice out of three tournaments which gives him hope to be the champions this year.
He said he formed cricket team after playing the sport from since his childhood.
“I have been playing cricket from my tender age and I was playing in my uncle’s team,” said the 21-year-old.
About 13 teams are competing in the tournament which include Mpingwe Sports Club, Silver, A&B, Tigers Puff, Pharmanova and others.
