Man shot dead after stabbing two police officers while resisting arrest

KENYA – A 28-year-old man was on Saturday shot in the head and killed by police officers at Kipusi village in Mwatate, Taita Taveta County.
According to witnesses who spoke to Citizen Digital, the man was killed after he assaulted two police officers by stabbing them with a knife while resisting arrest.
The officers sustained serious injuries and are presently receiving treatment at a hospital in Voi.
The deceased’s parents said he has in the past spent two years at the Manyani Maximum Security Prison for defilement among other offences.
