President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera on Tuesday cheered Traditional Authority (T/A) Mponda who is unwell.
The visit came barely hours after the President officially opened the Malawi Institute of Architects Annual General meeting where he was also installed as patron of the Institute.
State House Press Officer Brian Banda confirmed of the development in a statement made available to faceofmalawi.
“His Excellency the State President, Dr Lazarus Chakwera visited T.A. Mponda in Mangochi,” wrote Banda.
The chief is 97 years old and ill.
