President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has been officially installed as patron of Malawi Institute of Architects (MIA).
The ceremony took place at Sunbird Nkopola Lodge in Mangochi.
Members are also expected to elect new office bearers for the institute.
Chakwera is the second President to be appointed as patron of the Institute with the first being Dr. Hastings Kamuzu Banda.
Meanwhile the President is currently addressing delegates to the three days Annual General Meeting.
