The Country’s flag carrier, Malawian Airlines, is set to resume normal operations on Wednesday June 16 following a recent bailout by shareholders.
Malawian Airlines Public Relations Officer, Joseph Josiah has confirmed the development.
According to Josiah, normal flights to Johannesburg, Harare, Lusaka, and Dar-es-Salaam will commence tomorrow, 16 June.
The airline suffered a heavy Covid-19 hit that prompted its board to recommend liquidation to avert piling debts and other challenges.
However, following the authorities’ assurance and subsequent recapitalization, the flag carrier confirmed plans to resume operations this month.
