As most African countries have been hit with the third wave of the Coronavirus pandemic, Malawi’s health Minister has admitted that the country is currently experiencing the same.

Minister of health Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda made the confirmation today at Hippo Lodge View in Machinga district during the launch of Zero Malaria Starts With Me campaign.

For the past months, Malawi was experiencing a drop in the cases of the global pandemic as mostly single digit cases would be registered a day.

Meanwhile, the figures have gone up with two digits per day and people dying from the virus are also increasing.

Following the increase of the cases, the Presidential Taskforce on Covid-19, said they are reviewing to start reinforcing the measures that have were put in place.
