The Senior Resident Magistrate’s court in Mzimba District has sentenced two women to 4 years in prison for indecently assaulting a fellow woman at the Chimkusa location in the district in April this year.

The two identified as Anna Ziba aged 45 and Rebbecca Kamanga aged 25 have also been sentenced to a 2 and a half year jail term for unlawfully wounding the complainant.

Both sentences will run concurrently.

According to evidence presented in court, the two picked a fight with the complainant at their house when she came to ask for her money for a skirt she had sold one of the women.

During the fight, the two also undressed the complainant and fondled her private parts where pictures of the incident went viral on social media.
