The Malawi Electoral Commission ( MEC) says ballot papers for the by elections slated for Tuesday next week will arrive in the country through Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) tomorrow, Friday.
Director of Media and Public Relations at (MEC) Sangwani Mwafulirwa has confirmed of the development in a statement made available to faceofmalawi.
According to Mwafulirwa, the Emirates plane, flight number EK9318, will arrive at KIA at 16:05 hours.
The electoral body has since appealed to all contesting political parties and independent candidates to send their representatives to witness the receipt of the ballot papers.
MEC will hold by elections in Lalanje Ward in Nsanje, Chigwembere Ward in Blantyre North and Nkhata-Bay Central Constituency.
