Malawi has recorded the highest number of new Covid-19 infections in the past 24hrs since March.
This is after in the last 24 hours, the country, has registered 119 new COVID-19 cases and four new deaths.
According to a statement from the ministry of health , most of the cases being reported are locally transmitted and that Blantyre District is contributing to about 42% of the total new cases from the same period.

He further said it is sad that Malawians are not following Covid-19 preventive measures such as wearing masks and social distancing.
