The country’s electoral body, MEC, has challenged the electoral supervisors for the forthcoming by-elections to remain non-partisans for the elections to be free, fair, and credible.

MEC’s Commissioner Richard Chaphweteka made the sentiments during an interface meeting Mec officials conducted with election supervisors from Nkhata Bay Central Constituency.

According to the Commission, 2020 presidential fresh elections set a good standard on how credible elections could be managed; hence the June 29 by-elections should not fail the newly-constituted team of Mec Commissioners to maintain the record.
