A group of Civil Society Organizations in the country is today petitioning Parliament, asking government to provide resources for Covid19 Vaccines.
The Organizations include, Malawi Health Equity Network, Health and Rights Education Program, AIDS Health Forum and Vaccine.
The World Organization are asking government through parliament to present a supplementary budget of 34 billion kwacha that would be used to procure more doses of the vaccine.
This follows report that in some vaccination centers have run out of the vaccine and people are being sent back.
As of now, Malawi is not vaccinating its population as it has run out of the jab.
However the 2021-2022 National budget has not provided funds for Covid19 vaccine.
