Malawi Defense Force (MDF) soldier has died whilst doing airborne training in Salima.
The deceased identified as Christopher Sadik breathed his last this afternoon after a parachute he was using to land on the ground failed to function.
MDF spokesperson Major Emmanuel Mlelemba has confirmed the development.
Sadik hails from Chinangwa village, Traditional Authority Mwambo in Zomba.
According to information from MDF, the remains of the deceased will arrive at Zomba Airbase this afternoon.
