Chakwera to attend Kenneth Kaunda’s funeral in Zambia

President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera will tomorrow leave the country for Zambia to attend the funeral of former president Kenneth Kaunda.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed of the development in a statement made available to faceofmalawi.
According to the statement, Chakwera will leave at 7:00am and return at 15:00 pm through Kamuzu International Airport.
Kaunda died on June 17, 2021 at the age of 97.
Kaunda was admitted to a military hospital in the capital, Lusaka.
He will be laid to rest on July 7, 2021.
