Members of the Budget and Finance Committee of Parliament have unanimously re-elected Nsanje Lalanje lawmaker, Gladys Ganda, as their Chairperson.

Ganda was re-elected during a Committee meeting held at Parliament building on Thursday afternoon.

Parliament is currently in session in Lilongwe and on Wednesday the lawmakers passed a number of bills including the famous tax administration bill.

The Act indicates that any person who imports goods shall be required to pay Advance Income Tax at 3 percent of the customs value of goods for duty purposes at the port of entry into Malawi.
