A Centenary teenager died on Monday after he was allegedly assaulted by two men who spotted him stealing illicit spirit beer.
Tatenda Ringison (17) of Clear Morning farm, Centenary died at St Alberts Hospital yesterday after he was assaulted by Cornilious Kamutungo (23)and Tatenda Mujeri (22).
Mashonaland Central deputy police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Naison Dhliwayo confirmed the case.
Allegations are that Kamutungo and Mujeri were playing music at the back of Mujeri’s tuckshop.
The now deceased Ringison broke into the tuckshop and threw illicit spirits outside the tuckshop before being apprehended by the duo.
The duo took turns to fatally assault Ringison and he sustained a swollen forehead.
He went to St Alberts hospital where he was admitted and died the following day.
Police warned people to desist from violence instead they should  surrender suspects to them.
