The government through the Ministry of Homeland Security has vowed to meet Professional Truck Drivers’ demands to sort out their grievances.

This follows a locked in meeting that lasted for almost 3 hours between the concerned parties to come up with the resolution to end the truck drivers’ strike at Capitol hill.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that the government has agreed to work out four concerns raised of removing fees on COVID license and drivers examination upgrading license effective 1st August .

On passport and salaries Government has promised to work on the plea from next week.

Meanwhile, a legal advisor for the professional Truck Drivers Silver Ayuba James is present to scrutinize the MoU.

According to the President of the union, Major Mkandawire, the minister of homeland security has assured to have unconditional release for drivers who were arrested in the morning.
