Police officers and well-wishers built three houses for a Kisii family who slept under a banana tree in Kenya

Kisii family sleeping under a tree touched Nakuru police commander Beatrice Kiraguri’s heart together with other officers and well-wishers, they built three houses for the family.

On Monday, July 12, police officers from different counties and well-wishers officially handed over three houses to a Kisii family who slept under a banana tree.

Henry Nyabuto and his eight children from Bomachoge Borabu spent their nights under a table built under a banana tree until Citizen TV highlighted their plight.

Kiraguri said she started fundraising for the family after their plight touched her.

”When I saw that they slept under a table placed under a banana tree, it touched me. I wondered what I could do for them even though I was far,” she said.

Kiraguri urged Kenyans to help each other with whatever little they have.
