Fifteen Traders Arrested in Kasungu For Allegedly Buying Farm Produce Below Govt Prices

Police in Kasungu have arrested fifteen traders for allegedly buying farm produce below government farm-gate prices.

Kasungu police deputy spokesperson Miracle Nkozi has confirmed the arrest.

Nkozi said that the arrests were made at Mtunthama, Chima and Wimbe trade centers yesterday during a farm-gate price enforcement operation.

The suspects are expected to appear before court soon.

Police in the district have since warned traders against buying farm produce below the prices set by the government.
