Two men are in custody at Lilongwe Police Station for being suspected of robbing Kabaza operators of their motorcycles.

Lilongwe Police Station Deputy Public Relations Officer, Foster Benjamin has confirmed the development saying the two identified as, Kumbukani Malison, 28, and Lameck Biya, 34 were arrested on Monday, July, 19.

Benjamin has also disclosed that the law enforcers have recovered seven motorcycles from the suspects.

The arrest however follows a series of robberies in Lilongwe urban targeting Kabaza operators, according to Benjamin.

He says through intelligence, Police managed to arrest the two suspects and also recovered the seven motorcycles in Nsalu, Kabudula, and Mpingu.

The bikes, which include six Lifan motorcycles and one Lifo motorcycle, are being kept at Lilongwe Police Station awaiting identification by the owners.

Meanwhile, the suspects have been charged with robbery and will be taken before court soon.

Malison, comes from Chazala Village, Traditional Authority (T/A) Kabudula and Biya, is from Chiunjika Village, T/A Masula in Lilongwe District
