Vice President Saulos Chilima has fumed at Blantyre City Council officials for delaying in constructing a proper road in Manja Township.
Chilima paid a visit to the road today in his ongoing tour of public projects and much to his surprise, was told by the council officials that they are yet to come up with a design for the road project.
Said Chilima: “Are you playing politics? Should I be coming here every two months to inspect the road. Have you turned the council into another political party Mr CEO?”
However, the council has told Chilima that their delays are a result of lack of resources.
