First Grade Magistrate’s court in Neno district has convicted and fined K250 thousand a woman who poured hot water on her husband.

Magistrate Magret Khobili says the offense is serious but has opted for a fine or in default serve one year in jail as the convict is a first offender.

Idah Symon poured hot water on her husband, Mathews Ben, on 15 July, 2021 over disagreements on money usage and infidelity matters.

Idah Symon hails from Mola village in the area of Traditional Authority Dambe in Neno.
