Information confided to FaceofMalawi from highly trusted sources at Malawi Police Service (MPS) has revealed that the MPS has transferred an ex-state house police officer Sub Inspector Tamiwe Chilota Kandondo from Mangochi to Nayuchi in Machinga for attacking the Tonse led administration on Facebook.

It is reported the transfer was officially issued on Wednesday.

Kandondo was working at Sanjika Palace during the era of former president Peter Mutharika and when APM was shown an exit door on 23rd June last year she was redeployed to Makokola Police Station in Mangochi district since the security of Mutharika was trimmed.

Last week Saturday Kandondo who trends on Facebook as Whitney Aatney Chilota commented on a Rainbow television’s page post that “Kukanika Kutikwezera nteleshede mukungoba (You are failing to raise our monthly earnings yet you are secretly looting the coffers).”

This comment did not go well with some Malawi Congress Party (MCP) members who attacked her in the process.

As this was not enough the issue was reported to the police authorities.

It is alledged that the Inspector General of Police summoned her over the issue.

Kandondo has since deactivated her Facebook account, and anytime from today July 29, she will report to Nayuchi Police which is near the Mozambique border.

Since president Chakwera assumed power 13 months ago this is the second police officer to be transferred over Facebook comments.

The first one was Williams Kajoloweka Kaponda who questioned Chakwera on why the police officers are still commanded to stand in the roads waiting for the Malawi leader to pass and yer he fought the same during the campaign.

Kaponda was then transferred from Nkhotakota police where he was the PRO of the station to the Ndonda police unit for general duties.
