Funeral mass for Eric Mabedi who was popularly known as Jakobo in entertainment circles is underway in at Catholic Institute (CI) in Blantyre.
Minister of Tourism and Culture Michael Usi, Presidential Advisor on Chiefs Moses Kunkuyu are among the notable figures attending the funeral mass.
Apart from the two, Joseph Mwanamvekha of Democratic progressive Party (DPP), Minister of information Gospel Kazako are also in attendance.
Mabedi died of COVID-19 on Monday morning at Mwaiwathu Private Hospital.
All COVID-19 measures are being followed.
